A lot has happened.......

Hi all my fellow Bloggers

Since the last time we spoke, weve been very busy! A very Busy Summer has been had by Little Charm Bakery. From Weddings, Baby showers and birthdays, we've made a range of cakes and cupcakes, with new products and also a new cupcake flavour!

Where do we start - Weve made a variety of wedding cupcakes, and cakes, including one of my favourites (Chocolate Sponge with white chocolate buttercream), tasting this was such a lovely perk of the job! I delivered it to one of the local venues and decorated it with the fresh flowers supplied by the florist! I just loved the colours.

We took part in a wedding fayre in the Glamorgan Arms, where we had the opportunity to show off some of our new designs to the brides to be. As Im well into anything vintage at the moment, (as im planning my own wedding) I loved the vintage inspired lace 3 tier wedding cake that designed and also the vintage inspired cupcakes!

At the wedding fayre we also revealed our new Products - Cake Pops!! They are basically balls of cake on a stick, covered in chocolate in any particular flavour. They could be used for any occasion, from Wedding favours to childrens Party Bags. Another product that we unveiled was our cupcake bouquets! these were just about 7 cupcakes stuck into a plant pot, where they looked like a bouquet, very effective! and can also double up as a cake and a table centre in a wedding!

Like we mentioned earlier, weve done quite a few weddings in the summer months, including a very large cupcake order, which included lemon, vanilla, chocolate and fruit flavoured cupcakes! also very recent cupcakes from the bank holiday weekend (for my dads wedding), a very simple but effective design, with lots of fruit!

Catch Up again!!

Hi all, i know ive been so rubbish, again, lol! we had a lovely holiday in the US, but got stuck over there because of the volcano drama! had a lovely extended 3 week holiday! but was ready to come back and get back into the cake world! here are the pictures of the wedding cupcakes we made before we went on holiday and also a 30th Birthday cake.

A lot has happened since weve got back! we took part in the West Wales Food Festival, which was very successful, showing off a new product - Whoopie Pies!

We've also been asked to make a variety of different wedding favours, especially cookies! we had an order for 80 elephant & Horse vanilla and chocolate cookies for a wedding in may! a lot of detail, but very fun to make! We were also asked to make a non-edible cookie gift for a wedding present, which were again fun to make and were personalised with the brides & grooms initials.

Our next wedding was in the oxwich bay, in the gower in Swansea! absolutely stunning venue in the sun, the marquee was right next to the beach! the theme was black and white after the bride & grooms favourite football theme! The bride wanted black and white lemon and chocolate cupcakes with fruit top tier, and also welsh cake shaped as hearts as their favours! They turned out really well, and very effective.

We've alsso done a couple of ther wedding cakes, including a wonky three tier cake and vintage themed cupcakes. The wonky cake was a huge task! very nerve racking! i was scared that the tiers would slide off! they didnt, thank god, and had really positive feedback, everyone loved it!

Weve had a few more wedding enquiries this year, still have 7 to do before october! and they are all different so really looking to them all. We still have a few more spaces left for weddings this year! but next year is booking up too! so feel free to enquire about your bespoke wedding cake.

I promise to keep the blog up to date at least every two weeks to let you all know whats happening with Little Charm Bakery, as we are growing and growing since we started in September!

Catch Up

Hi All

Ive been so rubbish the last few months with the blog, been getting really busy! Just wanted to give you a catch up on the type of things that have been happening since last November!!

After the halloween cupcakes came out, Christmas came very quickly! we were involved in a few Christmas Fayres, selling cupcakes, gift cakes, cookies and even fruit cupcakes, which werevery popular!

Christmas came and went quickly, but with loads of orders to go with it, which included Cookie tree decorations, gift cakes, cupcakes and big christmas cakes!!

Even though it was after Christmas, January was quite a busy month, with cupcake birthday gift boxes, wedding orders came flooding in and novelty cakes!

valentines day was the next major event - quite a few boxes of cupcakes were ordered for loved ones, with some positive feedback! On the same day as Valentines Day, after delivering all the valentines orders, we took part in our fourth wedding fayre at the
Botanic Gardens of Wales - very busy day!!

Little Charm Bakery took part in their first Charity Event at the end of Feb!! It was for the British Heart Foundation, Go Red Day!! We sold Cupcakes, and shortbread cookies shaped like hearts, and all were very red, lol!! All proceeds went to BHF!!
March was a busy month! With Mothers Day and also our first Wedding Cake Delivery! The cupcake gift boxes were very popular for gifts for Mothers Day, and had some very positive feedback from them! Also our First wedding cake delivery was on March 20th, from a lady who came to see us at our first wedding fayre in October! She'd ordered a two tier square fruit cake with a cubed vase holding up the top tier!! I was really chuffed with the outcome of the cake - the Bride emailed us a couple of days later commenting on how fabulous it was, and how it tasted even better!! So watch this space for even more Wedding Orders to come!!I think thats about it so far! have done cakes in between, so take a look at our website or facebook fan page!! We are closed from Today until the 20th April, but got a two tier birthday cake and wedding cupcakes to make before we go off on holiday!!

Catch up soon!x
